Incoming campers should check in at the park office before 4 PM or the campground host after 4 PM. A large scale dam rehabilitation project is currently in the permitting phase for Chapman State Park. A planning meeting is expected to take place in the early Fall. The exact time frame of the project is not currently known. This project will ensure the continued safe operation of the dam, and although it may create some temporary interruptions of services at the park, it will be a benefit for many years to come. At this juncture the extent of the construction and related facility interruptions are unknown. You may contact the Park Office at 814-723-0250 Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM for up-to-date information. More detailed information will be published as it becomes available. |
